Shakin' It Out...

364 days does not a year make...

So all you haters who thought I was done with this site can just back off...

Seriously, it's been a while since I last said anything here. So what's happened since my last post?

1. Went to Hawaii for a week

2. Went to Alaska for three weeks

3. Went to Korea for two weeks

4. Went to Maryland for one week

5. Went to Disneyland and Legoland again

6. Bought a PS3 (Rock Band is awesome!)

7. Spent a week in Austin for Fantastic Fest 2007 (and saw the first public screening of There Will Be Blood with PT Anderson in attendance!)

8. Bought tickets for Fantastic Fest 2008 (VIP is the only way to go!)

9. Started Christopher in Kindergarten

10. Saw the Hair family for the first time in eons

11. Went to Missouri to surprise Mom on her 60th birthday, and to watch Talia in the longest dance recital I've ever been to in my entire life

12. Went to Las Vegas for our 14th anniversary.

13. I found out I've got a gay friend. I'm secretly convinced it was the coaster trip some years back that did it, and I'm wondering if Fantastic Fest with Byron may have some lasting effects...

13. Bought Hobie tons of comics that I still haven't sent him (okay, I'm starting to reach here...)

14. Saw a herd of movies (check it out here).

All in all it was a pretty good year.

Some sad news...Merle Wilson - Tami's grandmother - passed away a few night's back on what would've been my dad's 60th birthday. She lived to be a youthful 101 (!!). Her funeral is tomorrow.

Anyway - I'm back for now. I don't know when I'll post again. Maybe if I get a few comments to this post I'll actually try and come back in 363 days next!

OH - I'm off to Korea again this weekend. Maybe I'll post from there! Don't hold your breath.

Enough rambling. Bye!

A President's Day To Remember...

I took the kids to Natural Bridge Caverns today. Until I can get to the pictures, you'll just have to imagine how much fun it must've been to be 180' below the earth with two kids asking if we were almost done yet in 45-second intervals. It was AWESOME! I'm joking (somewhat) - they really did enjoy it, but I think it might've been too late in the day for such an excursion, and Christopher hadn't had a nap. Regardless, I had a great time - I'm always fascinated by the formations underground, all made by water, dirt, and time. And not a crawler to be found!

Before you meander off to some other part of the 'net, go see what's up with Roland today...

Our Legoland Pics Are FINALLY Complete!

It took me about six NLHE tournaments, two meals, and lots of kid wrestling to finish, but you can now check out - after much ado - the Legoland pictures by either clicking on the link to the left there, or going to the Picture Page. Revisiting the pictures was a lot of fun. Bloggin' nearly EIGHTY pictures - not so much. Regardless, enjoy!

I'm NOT Slipping Back Into Old Habits!

Almost a week since my last update. Roland has suffered the most - he and Eddie have been sitting in limbo at the airport while I've ignored him. But that's all changed - go find out more on the media page.

More to come later today - I'm hoping to get the Legoland pics up (honest!)

Two 2K7DTQ Updates!

I'm playing catch-up tonight. Check out the media page to read about Roland and Eddie's exploits.

The Squirrel and I have a meeting with Drafthouse folks tomorrow to discuss July 21st. All will be revealed soon...although you probably already read about it over at velvetcanvas.com (i tease!)

Off to watch some TV. G'night.

No Update Since Wednesday?! And I Never Even Got To Watch Lost!

Admittedly, television is a huge part of my life - but for some reason I didn't get the word that Lost switched timeslots. SO - I missed the first episode of the new year. I'll download it today, and hopefully watch it tomorrow.

I've also been slacking on 2K7DTQ - I've only read once since Wednesday, and just now got around to the update. You can find it here. Hopefully I'll be able to get to a second update this afternoon.

Nothing else to talk about - unless you want to hear about the $26 Tami and I lost at Second Friday Poker at Casa Squirrel Friday night. But I don't want to talk about that. It was brutal - probably one of the worst poker night's I've had over there since we started playing.

I'm Itching To Start Watching Lost, But First...

I have to tell you what happened to Roland and Eddie today.

Also, I had to edit Tami's list of accomplishments from CHA. Apparently there's some sort of nondisclosure sorta thing with one of the companies she sold an idea to. I had to sterilize the list somewhat. Sorry. If you've just got to know what she sold, shoot me an email and I'll give you some details. Or maybe not.

I bought tickets for Fantastic Fest for The Squirrel and I. Now I've just got to put away enough money and save enough leave to actually stay in Austin this year. That driving back n' forth crap was for the birds...I wonder if the Squirrel has even considered this as an option?

Oh - and if you read The Squirrel's site, then you've discovered that he's scooped me on our oh-so-secret plans for July 21st. I'm still not trying to disclose too many details here yet, though, because I don't want to jinx anything. I promise, however, to get back to you soon with more details...
